Convenient Woman

Keep me in a drawer at your bedside
Take me out whenever you need
Use me good until you’re done
Then toss me aside.

Now do you feel pretty?
Now do you feel smart?

Put me back until next time.
I’m cheap and easy to find.

I’ll be there until I’m gone
And soon I may be gone.

No more your string to pull.
No more your joke to tell.
No more your dirty fraud.
No more your untouched hell.

No more
your
convenient
woman.

  1. Everyone else gets it Amy! Poetry is not my strong point.

  2. I love you, Amy. You know I do. You just hadn’t had your caffeine yet.

  3. Well, you know what I thought – at first. Then you know what else I thought. I like the alternate title… even if you won’t post it.

  4. I am ready for the other poem, that none should speak of, to makes it way to the scene. It is not too mean.

  5. But is it too dirty?
